I moved to Croydon when I got married and have been here ever since, I am a widow with two grown up children, Claire and William. My special interests are Health, Social Services and Education, I have always been very involved in the community and was Chair of Croydon Citizens Advice Bureau and sat on the Board of the first Primary Care Group after the transition to fund holding GPs.
I have been a Governor of Harris Academy since the school opened in 2006 and worked for the charity Mencap, hence my interest in disability issues.
Since being elected to represent Shirley I have served on the Children and Young People Scrutiny Sub Committee and Fostering Panel which has enabled me to develop my interest and concern for the welfare of children and young people.
