Norbury Park

I did a walk around in Norbury with Councillor Scott Roche to look at the good work being done by Litter Free Norbury and to see how the Council can support their efforts. On the way we admired Maggie's Garden on what was once a derelict piece of ground.

A few months ago, the horrifying conditions faced by Council tenants on Regina Road were exposed. Walls coated in black mould, dripping ceilings and faulty electrics all featured in ITV’s documentary, Surviving Squalor.

This morning Blake, Kofi and the Norbury Conservatives reported numerous cases of fly-tipping to the Council for remove, on Kensington Avenue, Golf Close, Willowtree Way and Buckingham Avenue.

Today I visited Kuala Gardens in Norbury with Cllr Yvette Hopley and Kofi Frimpong following a plea for help from a resident regarding their living conditions in their sheltered housing. Mould, water damage from the roof, and on the ceiling from the water tank ,front door hinge broken leaving them
