Chris Philp MP: Supporters of Daesh have absolutely no place in the UK

Daesh murdered and raped women and children and slaughtered those who opposed them.

Supporters of Daesh have absolutely no place in the UK. Those who went from the UK to support the murderous Daesh regime should not be allowed back. Every means available – including revoking citizenship – should be used to prevent their return.

At Prime Minister’s Questions today, Kemi Badenoch asked Labour to finally take the side of the British people by ensuring no supporters of the murderous Daesh return to the UK.

I’ve also written to the Home Secretary to urge the Government to use the powers from the Conservatives’ Nationality and Borders Act, despite her and Keir Starmer voting against the Act, to speed up the process of removing citizenship from dangerous individuals.

We must ensure the safety of the British public, and our borders is prioritised.
