On Monday and Thursday this week I joined Council Officers Zoe,Chima,Ken to clear paths and old flowerpots at Southlands Sheltered Housing.
Robin The local tree officer who just happened to be checking on pruning the trees in their garden was roped in to help cut back some ivy which had taken over part of the building and obscured outside lighting and a fire exit .
All paths now free of weeds, slabs jet washed. and plant pots without living plants in them have been added to the waste collection pile as most were broken. All ready for Zoe their resident involvement officer ,who is arranging a garden tea party in August for the residents of the 41 flats,
