I've received several reports of general litter along the Godstone Road, near Bourne Park. I walked the area this morning and can see why people are concerned.
I have made several reports via LoveCleanStreets, which is an excellent - and fast - way of clearing rubbish, so I hope to see improvements quickly.
I also bumped into a woman who regularly picks litter in this area, and it was great to be able to talk to her and find out how often she litter picks along there. She really is doing her bit to make the environment much nicer for us all to live in. A big thank you to Joanne.
Here are some tips to get involved and keep Kenley beautiful:
- Don't drop litter (obvs)
- Report fly tips via the LoveCleanStreets app - Don't Mess With Croydon | Croydon Council
- If you are interested in litter picking (it's an incredibly satisfying way to spend an hour!), then join Croydon's Street Champions scheme - Street Champions | Croydon Council
- If there is an issue on Transport for London's land, report it directly to them via Streetcare (tfl.gov.uk)
- KENDRA, the residents association for Kenley hold regular litter picks, keep an eye on their website - Kendra – Kenley & District Residents Association (kenleyra.org.uk) or email [email protected].
