New bike hub at Kenley station

Kenley cycle hub

Work has began on developing a new cycle hub at Kenley station, which is being provided as part of the Kenley Good Growth Fund.

The hub will provide space for 20 bikes. The area will be covered by CCTV and will be accessed securely. It will have a bike repair stand and pump. Further details will be made available soon.

Being so poorly served by public transport, all initiatives to enable people to travel around and through the ward are to be welcomed - although it's hard cycle back up to the top of Kenley!

I have become concerned as of late at the recent increase in house of multiple occupancy (HMO) applications in Purley & Woodcote. Another one has come in for an 8-bedroom, 13-person HMO at 48 Brighton Road.
