Despite the very cold weather in #Norbury today, our team were again out speaking to hundreds of residents in the area, finding out their concerns, and offering our assistance wherever possible!
Unfortunately, we came across very high levels of fly tipping, and rubbish engulfing Norbury Avenue in particular today! It is such a shame that this part of Norbury has become 'known' for having very high levels of fly tipping and rubbish.
I have reported all of the fly tipping and rubbish we came across directly to the council, and our team has reported all items of fly tipping we came across during our campaign session. We have in addition asked Labour Councillor Stuart Collins, the Cabinet member responsible for the removal of fly tipping within #Croydon, to take direct action as a matter of urgency!
The residents of Norbury deserve better than this, the Labour run Croydon council claim to remove all items of fly tipping within 48 hours of it being reported, unfortunately, this does not appear to be the case in Norbury!
The team have had to re-report several items of fly tipping, due to the lack of action taken to resolve the issues raised by our team from the council!
The Norbury Conservatives are very passionate about our #Community, the team will monitor the situation very closely, and will be taking direct action in the future to help lower the level of fly-tipping currently engulfing the area!
We are here to help local residents wherever we can, if you need help with anything please do get in touch with the team:
