Purley Christmas lights

Eagle-eyed residents may have spotted the Christmas lights going up in Purley today..

Purley BID have been working hard to finance and organise this year's lights. It is expected that the lights will be turned on this weekend.

There will be no formal switch-on event as the cost of a formal switch on is around £800 which could not be justified, especially when having to plan in advance in uncertain times.     

I'm sure we're all very grateful for the BID's efforts in brightening up our district.

Update on Coulsdon Town Bus Stop Display

Many residents (including me!) are frustrated at the fact that the LED 'countdown' display showing live bus times at Bus Stop J (outside Card Factory / Coughlans / Caffe Nero) has been out of action for many weeks now. I have been talking with TfL and they have provided me with the response below.
