Danielle Denton, Maria Gatland & Michael Neal are your Conservative Councillors for South Croydon. Maria and Michael have served our community since 2002 when they were first elected alongside Mayor Jason Perry. Following the election of Jason as Mayor, Danielle was elected in a by-election in 2022. Maria, Michael and Danielle are passionate about securing the best possible future for South Croydon, and making sure that we have a South Croydon to be proud of.

We have been contacted by large numbers of residents about about Labour’s proposals to segregate the cycle lane and bus lane, with barriers, along the entire length of Brighton Road.

Brighton Road "wands" to be removed

The Brighton Road Cycle Scheme was introduced in April 2023 after approval by the previous Labour Council. Since then, we've been listening to residents and businesses to see what they think - and 89% of people who expressed an opinion wanted the wands removed.

Tram Disruption: 21-29 October

I was really pleased to visit Croydon College in my capacity as Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. I was keen to hear about the offer to our young people and to discuss challenges and opportunities and how we can all work better together. It was a pleasure to meet the Principal and CEO.

Friends of Croham Hurst Woods Litter Pick

Friends of Croham Hurst Woods kicked off the new year with a litter pick. We collected 24 bags of rubbish that included licence plates, tyres even an old cash register.

Decision at last on backland development 20 Rockhampton road

An application to build a two bedroom house in the back garden of 20 Rockhampton road lodged in 2021 has at last been decided. I objected to this application that would have impacted negatively on neighbours has been refused permission.

Dangerous branch down reported Croham Hurst woods

On my daily walk with my dog in Croham Hurst woods I noticed that a branch had spilt and was hanging dangerously over the path. Another branch had come down the steps on one of the entrances opposite Wisborough road. I notified the Council and was pleased to see both have been removed.
