We have just been informed that officers in the Council’s Highways department have been working with Thames Water in order to address the flooding issue at Chipstead Valley Road.
Thames Water is treating the matter as high profile and The Council is providing support to ensure proposed works are completed as quickly and safely as possible.
The latest update from Thames Water is that cleansing and CCTV works are scheduled for July 25 to 27.
In addition, there are planned works to clean the storage tank starting on July 26 to 31.
Once these works are completed, the situation will be assessed to determine if/what additional measures are required to be undertaken.
The recent sewage leak was stressful for residents. Coulsdon Town Councillors have met with Thames Water and will impress upon them the need to sort out the sewage problem.
