Park Hill Park within the Park Hill and Whitgift ward has always been such a great place to spend time. Whether visiting the walled garden maintained by the Friends of Lloyd Park or dropping by Water Tower Teas for lunch; its a great space so close to the centre of Croydon.
However, a longstanding issue has been the lack of toilet facilities. This has made it difficult for local residents to visit. Difficult for the Friends Groups to run events and very hard for the cafe to be able to run a business.
Once elected I set about following this up as a priority and I am delighted to say that after much persistence I've been told today the toilets should be reopening Friday.
I very much hope they will stay open and that the park can be remain as accessible as it can be for everyone to enjoy.
