The Sanderstead Councillors have funded another bench from their community ward budget. This one is in front of one of the tennis courts in Purley Beeches. A number of residents had contacted us who were particularly elderly stating that they found it difficult to perch for any length of time on some of the wooden flat benches so are delighted that we have been able to accommodate our more mature visitors to the park. I have to say in the spring months I am very much looking forward to sitting on the bench and admiring the view, which is at one of the highest points in the Beeches.
