I have received this from the Director of Public Health on the testing centre that has recently opened:
"The asymptomatic Testing Centre for Covid-19 in Selsdon library is one of the 4 sites across the borough offering council staff who cannot work from home access to regular rapid testing.
This type of testing site is specifically for people who do not have symptoms. Any person who has any symptoms and requires a standard PCR test which can be accessed via the usual test and trace route.
In order to access asymptomatic testing at the 4 sites, we have a booking system in place where people are reminded that the sites are for people without symptoms. The staff working on the entrance to the site also check with people on arrival that they do not have covid symptoms.
Risk assessments are in place for all of our testing sites and we continue to, ensure that the safety of all Croydon’s residents is paramount."
