Over the last year the green spaces in our areas have provided so much comfort to us all - supporting our mental and physical health.
This morning I was delighted to catch up with Josi and Catherine of the Friends of Park Hill Park Group for a cup of tea at Water Tower Teas. It was a lot warmer than when I last caught up with them on a freezing day in April for a litter pick!
They outlined what the Park needed going forward. Ranging from toilet facilities, to improving the playground and basketball and tennis courts. They also updated me on the great projects they have been working on in the walled garden, and groups they have been running to encourage community gardening.
So many residents have found the park essential during covid and I'm determined to ensure I work with the Friends Group to protect the Park, and to try and resolve some of the issues they raised with me so that together we can ensure its a clean and safe space for everyone in the community going forward.
