Sanderstead is incredibly well served by it local churches, especially over the Advent and Christmas period. From Carols at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Christingle at the United Reformed Church and the All Saints Christmas Day Lunch for those who would otherwise be on their own, so much is offered to and shared with residents and visitors in Sanderstead.
My family still attends the St Mary's Christingle service despite the youngest of us not being that young at all anymore. It is such a heart warming service. And nothing goes to waste, with the oranges turned into Marmalade by Fr Peter Macan in super-quick time - and already in my kitchen ready to eat!
I hope that those who have worked and volunteered so heartily over the last couple of weeks will have chance to put their feet up in the next few days.
