I had an appointment at 09:00 this morning in Purley High Street. As I got there, I was surprised to see that someone had been sleeping rough overnight near the (closed) leisure centre. I was also delighted to see that two staff members from Streetlink had just arrived and were talking to the person.
Streetlink is an important national organisation which provides help and advice to those who are sleeping on the streets anywhere in England & Wales; they form an important part of the support network for the homeless in Croydon, and their objective is to ensure that no-one sleeps on the streets for a second night running.
