The three of us had a great time at the Sanderstead Christmas lights switch on last night. Santa arrived on his sleigh just before 6 o'clock and then after a count down pushed the button that switched on the lights along the Sanderstead shops on Limpsfield Road, and also at Hamsey Green and Elmfield Parade shops at the same time.
As last year, the event was organised by Rotary Selsdon and Sanderstead and brilliantly hosted by Paul Meakin Estate Agents who supplied food, drinks, children's games and, of course, had a special place for Santa to meet the children. The Reverend Carole Bates from All Saints Church led us in Christmas carols too.
Thank you to everyone who organised such a brilliant event for the second year running!
