Croydon Council has announced a number of events scheduled to take place in Croydon parks and green spaces during July. There may be last minute event applications that are received and last minute cancellations and events will only proceed if all relevant documentation is received prior to the deadline given to event organisers.

Summer Beach Festival: Friday 23rd July – Monday 30th August 2021 (Operating from 12pm-9pm daily).
The Croydon Summer Beach Festival is a family funfair event.

Eid Celebration: Sunday 18th July – Tuesday 20th July 2021
Date TBC dependent on moon sightings (start time 8:00am, park vacated by 1:00pm).

South Norwood Recreation Ground (Thornton Heath)
South Norwood Festival: Sunday 18th July 2021 (11:00am – 7:00pm).
An annual community festival, this event is for the local community and families, there will be musical performances and stalls

Lloyd Park (South Croydon)
Vision Cinema: Friday 23rd – Monday 26th July 2021 (12pm – 9pm).
Film screening event with 3 separate film screenings per day ranging from family (U-PG) films to films with a 12a – 15 rating.
This will be a socially distanced event where groups will sit in their bubbles.

Rotary Field (Purley Oaks & Riddlesdown)
Driftin’ Dreamers ‘Silent Summer Screenings’: Saturday 24th July 2021 (8pm – 11:30pm – Film TBC).
An outdoor silent cinema screening event, attendees will listen to the film through wireless headphones.

Sanderstead Recreation Ground (Sanderstead)
Hungry Little Minds Storytelling: Friday 9th July 2021 (10am – 12pm).
Hosted by the Institute of Wellbeing, Hungry Little Minds is a story book trail event for pre-school aged children.
Upon completion of the story book trail guests will receive a free book. (only local schools to be invited).
