Purley's New Police Team

Jason Perry Mayoral Candidate Chris Philp MP Police at Purley Fire Station

I am so pleased that the combined efforts over 4 years of Cllr Jason Perry, Chris Philp MP and councillors such as myself, have secured the permanent location of Police services at the Purley Fire Station . Police officers covering Purley & Woodcote and Purley Oaks & Riddlesdown parade from the Fire Station (i.e. start and finish their shift there, and have facilities there) instead of having to travel back and forwards from Addington Police station or Croydon Town centre which was a really poor use of their time. Police officers are spending more time within the local community that they serve and there will be a sharing of intelligence with the Fire Brigade officers. I am delighted that campaigning that started at local Police Ward Panel has achieved this new way of working that may be rolled out across London. 

Well done to Jason Perry, Chris Philp for listening to our residents and our local Police and Fire Brigade teams for making this happen!

Update on Coulsdon Town Bus Stop Display

Many residents (including me!) are frustrated at the fact that the LED 'countdown' display showing live bus times at Bus Stop J (outside Card Factory / Coughlans / Caffe Nero) has been out of action for many weeks now. I have been talking with TfL and they have provided me with the response below.
