I am delighted to announce that we have successfully appointed a new Chief People Officer at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust to lead continued improvements to care and experience of our staff – and ultimately our patients and local community here in the borough as part of our place based arrangements.
Simon Haben’s most recent role has been as the Human Resources Director of Strategy and Services at Royal Mail. He brings a wealth of experience and has held a number of senior roles in both the public and private sectors. His appointment in the NHS also brings him back to the London Borough of Croydon, where his career first began more than 30 years ago.
Simon’s appointment follows a national recruitment drive and a fiercely competitive selection process, which set Simon apart as the best candidate for this crucial role. This included a thorough assessment of the candidates’ commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Simon has a proven commitment and the progressive approach that is needed to help us continue to transform our Trust and support our very large and diverse workforce caring for one of the most vibrant boroughs in the capital that we are so very proud to serve.
