Residents will be well aware of the issues with Farley Road near to the crossroads by Sainsbury's.
The Council was made aware of the defects that appeared soon after the resurfacing in Farley Road. These were as a result of an underground water leak.
Assurances were received from Sutton and East Surrey Water prior to the resurfacing, that their underground supply pipes were in good condition. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
The leaky pipes are currently being repaired by Sutton and East Surrey Water. Once completed, plans will be made for the damaged sections of carriageway to be resurfaced at either Sutton East Surrey Water or our contractors own cost.
Once a new date has been agreed to resurface the damaged carriageway the Council will notify residents.
