My ward colleague, Simon Brew and I both enjoyed a visit to the Chestnut Gardens Care Home on Foxley Lane last week. I had previously visited and blogged about this visit in May last year.
We had a wonderful fish and chip lunch and chatted with the new Home Service Advisor, Mark and the manager, Gayane discussing issues affecting elderly residents in our community, their plans for activities/events and how the Care Home has grown since it opened last year. We also talked about the work they are doing with their Memory Lane floor to to support those living with dementia.
It's a really beautifully done home, with a range of facilities and plenty of space. I'm pleased to see it thriving!
