Noise & Pollution Enforcement

The Council’s emergency service covers the following:
- any ongoing noise case where the pollution team has issued an informal or statutory notice
- continuously sounding alarms
- construction sites operating out-of-hours where the pollution team has issued a previous warning
- serious health and safety issues involving injury or death and the premises are regulated by the council
- food poisoning out breaks are other serious food incidents
- a live rat trapped in a residential property
- hazardous waste on private property
- major chemical incidents
- excessive smoke from bonfires affecting more than one person or affecting people with underlying health problems
- water penetration from a neighbouring property causing significant damage
- significant sewage incidents on private properties
