Jeet Bains is your Councillor in Addiscombe East ward where he has lived for more than thirty years. Jeet has been a Councillor in Croydon since 2010 and takes a keen interest in helping local residents and businesses with any issues they have.
Luke Shortland was elected as Councillor for Coulsdon Town in 2022. One of the things Luke loves about Coulsdon is the real variety of shops in the town centre, with everything from a pottery café (where he got his first Saturday job over seven years ago!) to a candle shop.
Lynne Hale has lived in Sanderstead for 30 years. She worked locally as a healthcare professional for over twenty years before, having settled her three children into their Croydon schools, she moved into politics.
Yvette Hopley has lived in and around Sanderstead all her life. From an education in a local state school she went on to spend almost ten years working in public and government relations for an American Oil company. Yvette lives with Chris and has a daughter Natasha and grandson Hugh.
Living in Croydon all of my life has instilled a strong sense of passion for Croydon and its future. I have always been active in many of the local campaigns and projects, growing up in an area which prides itself on its Community spirit, and the ability to show a united front against issues that are important to the local residents.
Maria Gatland has lived and worked in South Croydon for more than 30 years. During that time she helped run the family business and cared for her husband during his long illness. Maria has worked hard to help and support residents in her ward since 2002.
Today the Mayor and myself issued a letter of thanks to the hardworking crews across Croydon, who are helping to keep our roads and pathways safe in Croydon.
I visited the virtual ward at BWH yesterday and spoke to the nurses supporting residents who are kept safe whilst being able to stay at home. Technology is helping to prevent entry to our accident and emergency departments and leaves beds in the hospital for those who need it most.

Today I had a meeting with officers to discuss the functionality of the app, how it can be improved from both the backdoor access, and user experience.
There are a number of subtle differences which as a user of the app, may notice soon.
It was good to have the opportunity to talk to all our wonderful volunteers at South East Cancer Help Centre and treat them to a lunch. They spend hours working to help us support those living with cancer. It was a small token to treat them to lunch for all their hard work.
Today both Cllr Jason Cummings and myself attended the turning on ceremony for the SPRA Christmas lights, along Wickham Road. It is great to see them return, after a few year gap due to Covid.
This evening Mayor Perry, Cabinet Member for business Cllr Jeet Bains and myself attended the Crystal Palace business Christmas event.
As a local myself, I was very pleased to attend, and I was happy to see how passionate and thriving they are for a local highstreet.
