After some years of badgering, I am delighted to say that Briton Hill Road has at last made it to the top of the list for resurfacing. The stretch from Hook Hill to Sanderstead Road is to be resurfaced next week. The details, from the email I received today, are as follows: We are writing to inform you that Croydon’s Highways team together with its principal contractor Kier, will shortly be commencing resurfacing works on the above roads. Due to the locations and nature of these works it is inevitable that some disruption will occur, these works are being scheduled to be carried out, between 9:30-15:30. If you need vehicular access during the above period it may be advisable to find alternative routes as per the attached traffic management plans, and allow additional time for your journey. Furthermore, to enable the works to be completed with the least inconvenient to the residents. Traffic management plans (attached) to illustrate these works according to the councils specifications.
