In 2023, the Boundary Commission for England announced its final recommendations for new Parliamentary Constituencies in England, including here in Croydon.
Croydon East is one of the new constituencies, largely made up of the former Croydon Central constituency, but excluding Croydon Town Centre.
From 2002 to May 2018 each parliamentary constituency in Croydon was made up of exactly eight wards, all fully contained within it. Shortly after taking control in 2014 Croydon Labour requested a review of the local authority boundaries.
