Despite the challenges of lockdown Cllr. Andy Stranack (Shadow Cabinet Member for Safer Croydon and Communities) was able to hold virtual meetings with key community groups last week. Andy spent time with Gordon Knott CEO of Croydon Drop In (CDI) and Jane Carey from Jubilee Parenting.
Andy said
"It was good to spend time with Gordon and hear about the work CDI are doing to help young people with emotional needs and looking after their well being. The partnership work with health services across South West London is helping to keep young people safe.
Equally it was good to hear from Jane about the valuable work Jubilee Parenting are doing to support parents of children with special needs and the partnership work that they are undertaking with the National Autistic Society. These small groups do fantastic work in the Croydon community and help make Croydon a great and vibrant place to live."
