Following a recently undertaken structural inspection to Red Lion soakaway, urgent works were identified as being required to the structural slab and columns of the soakaway beneath Brighton Road.
These works will not affect traffic flows but will require some parking bays to be suspended and a footway closure, with pedestrians diverted via existing pedestrian crossing places.
The site supervisor has agreed to reduce the parking bay closures down to 5 spaces and also to reinstate the disabled bay to minimise the inconvenience to local residents and businesses.
The works are expected to be completed by 4th December.
