Rowland Brothers was first established in Croydon in 1873 and has been running funeral planning and advice to residents in Croydon ever since. In 2015 the company recognised that they could do more to support bereavement services and advice to families and individuals living in the town. They set up their own Charity "The Rowland Brothers Foundation" and the charity has gone from strength to strength.
Charles offers support to customers who need bereavement support and Justine is a trained counsellor who provides more support if required. The newest member of the team is Chris Roe who goes out into Croydon and provides pastoring and bereavement advice to residents in Croydon. Chris can be found running drop in sessions on a Thursday 11.30 -2.30 at Matthews Yard and also runs regular drop in sessions at the Wellness Centre in the Whitgift Centre.
Cllr. Andy Stranack said
"It was a real pleasure to meet with Chris Roe at Matthews Yard and hear about the work that the Rowland Brothers Foundation are doing. With the current challenges we are facing around COVID19 there has never been a more important time to have pastoral and bereavement services easily accessible in the local community."
