In the run up to the launch of Black History Month Cllr. Andy Stranack met up with Andrew Brown from the Croydon BME Forum at the Wellness Centre in the Whitgift Centre. During a wide ranging discussion Andy heard about the planned events for Black History Month, the success of the Wellness Centre and some of the key issues effecting minority communities in Croydon at the moment.
Andy said
"It was a real pleasure to meet with the growing staff team at the BME Forum. It is good to see the impact that Conservative Councillors ward budgets are having in enabling the Wellness Centre to open up and it was great to chat with Andrew Brown. The staff team at the BME Forum have a real depth of experience and wisdom that we all need to listen to and learn from. I hope to meet up with them again very soon. I am in the process of putting together a Conservative Quiz Team to take part in the Black History Quiz Night that takes place on the 20th Ootober."
