On Saturday I visited Station Approach, the walk way from Purley Oaks Road into Purley Oaks Station. It was in a dreadful state after Thursday's flooding and it was with much dismay that I discovered that it was the local business owners who had been managing the clean up and there was still much to do (see my previous blog post). I contacted Council Officers to ask that they complete the clean up which happened on Monday morning with debris and bin bags removed and the paving jet-washed. Local residents and business owners have been contacting me say how please they are, with some even saying that it's cleaner than ever before.
