As the Cabinet Member for Childrens Services I was pleased to attend the CYPE Staff Awards.
Listening to the breath of work done by all the award winners on behalf of children and families was truly humbling.
Croydon Council has had a difficult journey moving out of the bankruptcy inflicted on residents by the former Labour Administration. Thanks to the Conservative Administration and the work of Mayor Perry we are no longer a bankrupt Council. Throughout the last years our staff have shown dedication and commitment. Many staff work long hours on behalf of vulnerable children and I am truly grateful to them all.
