Many residents have contacted me about the state of the hoardings around many of the abandoned building applications sites in Sanderstead. I am pleased to say that the hoarding at the site of the old rectory on Sanderstead roundabout has been replaced along with the panels that came down on the site of the demolished Old Good Companions owned by Lidl. Work should soon being around the site of Barrowsfield and I have had confirmation from the council that the site at 3-5 Addington Road is secure. I hope it won't be too long before the West Hill site is secured and made safe. The local councillors have also been working with officers around the Hyde Road site where a lot of refuse and rubbish was dumped and the site remained unsecured allowing fly tipping.
We are trying to ensure the best outcomes on these sites given the fact we felt many of these sites should never have received approval in the first place.
