It was great to join our local MP, Chris Philp last month in opening the new 29th Squirrels drey at the Purley Baptist Church. This is the first squirrel drey in Croydon.
Part of the Scouts, the new provision, Squirrels is for four to six year olds designed to help young kids gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it's most needed, have fun and make friends. Many of the volunteers are scouts.
It was lovely to see the young squirrels make their promises and receive their group scarf as well as meet parents and the volunteers, including the young scouts who are inspiring the squirrels.
