Polaska is the long lease-holder of the Purley Pool site and has announced exciting plans for a complete redevelopment of the area, to include 2 new pools, leisure centre, cafe and public realm, to accompany about 245 flats which will form a new "integrated retirement community".
The next stage of the consultation process is on Thursday, 9 Nov at Christ Church Purley, and all are invited. Quoting from an email I've just received:
This workshop will aim to update you on the progress of the design and seek your feedback design details, such as materiality.
There will be two workshops covering the same topic on Thursday 9th November at Christ Church in Purley at 859-887 Brighton Road, CR8 2BN. The first workshop slot will run between 4pm and 5:30pm and the second between 6pm and 7:30pm.
