The Trading Standards department of the council produces a very helpful regular bulletin which is well worth reading, and the latest is attached to this blog. It highlights lots of scams, many of which sadly cause people to lose THOUSANDS of pounds.
We all think "it won't happen to me", but I strongly recommend that everyone should read these bulletins to get a feel for the sort of tricks currently being played on unsuspecting members of the public.. For more information on any item, please contact: [email protected] .
