I was disappointed to learn that adjacent neighbours were not informed by the Council about an application for 9 units (3 two-storey houses and 6 flats) on 10 & 12 Smitham Bottom Lane (23/00379/FUL).
I have asked Council officers for clarification and asked that they extend the deadline (today) so residents have ample time to lodge their views should they wish to.
This application is out of character, is overdevelopment and would lead to endangered road safety. Chris Philp MP has lodged an objection and I have referred the application with a view to speak against it at Planning Committee should officers recommend approval.
