Sanderstead man is London Marathon's oldest runner

We are sending our very best wishes to David Picksley, this year's London Marathon's oldest participant.

At a sprightly 90 year old, David is running on behalf of BOWEL CANCER UK, in memory of his sister April, who died nearly 50 years ago at the age of just 42.

In 2021 and 2022 David walked the Virtual London Marathon locally in Sanderstead alone, in less than seven and a half hours, finishing 2nd in the 80+ age category. This year David is looking forward to walking with the crowds.
