Meeting with Friends of Farthing Downs & Happy Valley

Today I met with the fantastic Friends of Farthing Downs and Happy Valley, the group were very proud to show me around the site, and rightly so. Even as a Croydon born and raised, its nice to be reminded of the fantastic green spaces we have across Croydon. 

I was especially impressed with the fantastic walking tour that they have around the area, voiced by a number of celebrities, including Joanna Lumley! Please follow the link to read more about this.

The standard issues of course were discussed, including the need for grass cutting to be better organised than it has been previously, and giving the friends group the tools required to help protect the space for all to enjoy, and I look forward to working with this group and others going forward.
