Following a question which was raised at Council, I agreed to meet with the community and discuss their concerns relating to local road safety and speeding.
The local police teams will be contacted to help provide the tools for residents to use speed guns etc, this will help provide the data the police need to provide the necessary actions.
We as a council will of course continue to look at road safety schemes, though the TFL LIP funding element for the upcoming years. A number of initiatives have been installed to try and introduce road calming measures, whilst balancing the need for road users, cyclists and local buses.
I will continue to work with the group, and look at what more we can do here and similar situation across Croydon.
