Cllr. Andy Stranack (Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture) spent time with the Museum and Archive team last week and learnt more about the work they do across Croydon. Andy said:-
"It was a great pleasure to spend time with Virginia Smith (Museum and Archives Manager) and some of her team. It is really exciting to learn that they have a full programme of exhibitions taking place to coincide with Croydon becoming the London Borough of Culture from April this year. It was great to hear about the outreach work that the team are doing with Schools and community groups across Croydon and to learn more about the valuable archive paints, props and objects that the team look after".
