I was pleased to attend with Cllrs Nikhil Sherine Thampi and Margaret Bird the Armistice Day service to dedicate the sixteen missing names that have been added to the Word War I Memorial at Marlpit Lane Memorial Park. The service was led by Pastor Malcolm Newman and addressed by Deputy Civic Mayor, Cllr Sue Bennett. There was a 2 minute silence, a reading of the names, laying or wreaths and a British Legion citation. We will remember them.
