Dear colleagues
I wanted to let you know that our three temporary mass vaccination centres will close at the end of December. Centrale will close as a vaccination centre by 24th December 2022. This comes as the vaccination programme becomes part of more routine NHS services, such as in pharmacies, GP practices, hospitals and other community settings in line with National Guidance.
By the end of December, we will have offered vaccinations to everyone who is eligible for the autumn booster programme. After December, vaccinations will continue to be offered locally, in convenient locations such as pharmacies, at GP practices, in some hospitals, and other community venues where uptake remains low through pop up clinics. Our roving team will continue to work with partners to set up pop up clinics.
In the lead up to the end of December, we are encouraging as many people as possible to come forward for their booster vaccination, as well as continuing to deliver 1st and 2nd doses. You can find out more about the vaccination programme here: Vaccinations - NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (icb.nhs.uk)
Recognising the needs of Croydon, we will continue to ensure that our lower uptake communities can access vaccinations that they are eligible for. Building on the success of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, we will continue to work in partnership with Local Authorities, communities groups and voluntary sector colleagues across the system to continue to support uptake of Covid-19 vaccinations and across other immunisation programmes.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if it would be helpful to arrange a meeting to discuss further.
Kind regards,
Ashley Adaya
