Last Friday I was so pleased to visit Coombe Wood School in my role as Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. Accompanied by the Director of Education we heard about the schools journey over the last three years from the new Headteacher. It was great to see pupils engagement with various subjects in their classrooms too.
The highlight was a lovely lunch with pupils listening to their school experiences and hearing about their hopes and fears for the future.
I really enjoyed the visit and the warm welcome and I am really looking forward to visiting different schools across the borough.
