We have received the following information in relation to some upcoming filming in Sanderstead. The schedules of works are attached, which I hope you will find helpful.
Dear Cllrs,
I hope this email finds you well,
I'm getting in touch regarding various filming dates for a feature film we're working with called Strangers from Blueprint Pictures. They will be filming in both Sanderstead Recreation Ground, Limpsfield Road and Purley Downs Road.
For Sanderstead Recreation Ground and Limpsfield Road, their filming dates are the 5th and 6th July. They will be filming in multiple locations including the playground, the basketball court, grass areas and outside some shops on Limpsfield Road. In order to conduct their filming safely on Limpsfield Road they've requested to have stop/go traffic management meaning they will hold traffic for up to 3 minutes at a time only while they go for a take. Emergency access will be maintained at all times. For further information on this filming, please see the attached letter that will be distributed to local residents and businesses.
For Purley Downs Road, they will be filming at their 'hero' property as well as on the road itself on multiple dates. Once again, please find a resident letter attached that will be distributed to residents regarding this location with further details on their filming dates, traffic management requests and parking plans. Similar to Limpsfield Road, they've requested stop/go traffic management on some days meaning they will hold traffic for up to 3 minutes at a time only while they go for a take. In addition to this they have requested a road closure on 4 of their filming days (28th June, 7th and 8th July and the 5th August) between the junctions of Briton Crescent and Sanderstead Hill (please refer to the map on the third page of their letter). Resident access will be maintained at all times throughout the closure.
The production will be working to strict Covid safety protocols so as to minimise any potential risk to the crew and the community. Moreover the crew are all regularly tested and must return a negative test in order to be cleared to work on set.
The production has been consulting heavily with local residents and businesses so they're fully notified of their intentions and are endeavouring to cause as minimal disturbance as possible to the local area. As a gesture of goodwill and thanks for being in the area, they've offered the Sanderstead Residents Association a donation of £500.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.
Many thanks,
Paige
