It was great to join the festivities at St Mary's Christmas Tree Festival with around 30 decorated trees. There were lots of lovely ideas and the winner, which happened to be my favourite, was the tree decorated by the Knit and Natter group who had knitted the characters from The Twelve Days of Christmas, including drummers drumming, swans a-swimming and five g-o-l-d rings.
We also had some great musical performances from the hand-bell ringers and the Selsdon Songsations - who were indeed Songsational!
Well done to all those who organised, set up, sponsored a tree, created ideas for decoration, and cleared up afterwards.
