Earlier this week I was contacted by Friends of Park Hill Park who let me know that the large festival bins in the Park had been removed.
While understanding the park may have a reduced number of users during winter, the Friends Group and myself agreed that it was crucial that we work together to secure the bins at the very busy Barclay Road entrance.
I took this up with council officers and was pleased to receive the response below:
"Dear Cllr Appleton,
Yes, they were removed in the first week of October as normal procedure. They will be reinstated this week, probably tomorrow."
Good to see they'll be back quickly!
