The heavy rain the other night caused flash flooding in some areas of London. While it was not as serious in our ward of South Croydon the bottom of Croham Manor road was flooded. This part of the road is prone to flooding. Residents here have long believed maintenance of the drains has been neglected. I have reported this serious event to the Council. The response to me from the Council was that the highways drainage team will investigate and action as necessary. Let’s wait and see if anything is done.
