Each year in the run up to Christmas, volunteers from across Coulsdon get together to put on the annual Yulefest Christmas festival.
It's a great opportunity for the whole community to get together and celebrate the start of the festive season. The highlight of the festival is the switching on of Coulsdon Town’s lights.
Each year sees stalls, fun rides, live music – all of which takes a lot of work and vital sponsorship. The Coulsdon Town councillors have donated £3,000 to Yulefest to pay for the Christmas lights that are lining our high street.
Chris Thairs, Yulefest Organiser said: 'The Christmas lights in Coulsdon are an integral part of the festival and really makes the town come alive for the festive season. It wouldn't be possible were it not for this donation from our local councillors. We really appreciate their continued support for Yulefest and what it does for the community.”
Yulefest is a major event in the Coulsdon community calendar. The team of volunteers working throughout the year to get everything arranged should be applauded.
Visit www.yulefest.co.uk to see what goodies will be on show. Yulefest will take place in Coulsdon Town centre on Saturday 1st December 10am – 7pm with the lights being switched on at 5:30pm.
We hope to see you there!
