It is disappointing and frustrating to see that the travellers that encamped on South Croydon Recreation Ground on 23rd August are still there.
Council officers have been on the case from day one but are sadly being hampered by the Court service and getting a hearing date listed for their eviction.
We have asked Chris Philp MP if he can intervene to speed the process up.
Sadly, in the meantime the park is difficult to use for local people and the impact on the park environment is there for all to see.
We have asked Council Officers to keep a close watch on the situation and to review security measures going forward.
